Biotis® Fermentis is a novel protein-rich nutrition solution that boosts the performance of professional athletes and regular exercisers. It will be presented at the New Product Zone of Vitafoods Europe 2023, to be held in Geneva (Switzerland) from May 8 to 10.
The new Biotis brand solution, developed by the company specializing in proteins and probiotics FrieslandCampina Ingredients, and whose products are marketed in Spain by Trades, combines the benefits of whey protein, the prebiotic galactooligosaccharide (Biotis® GOS) and probiotic cultures. "By fermenting them together, a unique formulation is created that supports both athletic performance and overall health," they explain at the company that distributes them.
Health benefits
Eighty-six percent of athletes suffer from gastrointestinal problems that may be associated with stressors such as training and competition. A study conducted by FrieslandCampina Ingredients among 150 athletes between 20 and 50 years of age who took Biotis® Fermentis for three weeks daily showed that 80% experienced greater satisfaction with their physical well-being and 60% significantly reduced swelling compared to baseline levels.
